Can I use this stuff legally on my car?

I found this stuff on eBay and was wondering if I could use it on the rear windows and back window of my Galaxy.

Kind of assuming I could not use it on the windows that open but for the static ones, what do you think? Trying to keep the sun off of my dogs in the back. I did not want to get in trouble if it made the screen too dark or too reflective but it looks thinner than our window soxs which I had trouble seeing out of.

I don't think it makes any difference how opaque your back window is - look at vans without back windows. :)

LOL, how true. The OP makes me look a bit stupid now, doesn't it. :o

I thought there were laws on how dark a window could be.

You can tint any of the windows as much as you like, apart from the windscreen and front side windows.

I wouldn't say it makes you look stupid at all, it's a sensible question to ask and one that I was only making an educated guess about. :)

There are rules about how dark your windows can be so you're right in that sense, but those rules don't apply to the windows you're planning on covering. :)

You can paint all the windows aft of the B pillar with emulsion if you want. The only restrictions apply to front windows and windscreens.

Or even brick the damn things up:rotfl:, as long as the front and front side windows meet the restrictions then it doesn't matter what happens to the others....

Not quite true, you can tint the front side windows to seventy per cent and the windscreen to seventy-five per cent (as in that is how much light the tint allows through).
The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark

    Of course it's true.

You can tint any of the windows as much as you like, except for the windscreen and front side windows which you can't tint as much as you like.

    Makes perfect sense.
