Hi,

I have just got myself a new Desire and am really pleased with it.

I have downloaded a number of apps and have been impressed by some of the things I can do with them !!

BUT... I have tried to download Juicedefender this morning and cannot find it anywhere on my phone. Android market tells me I have downloaded it but it's nowhere to be seen !!

I have switched the phone off and back on again to no avail.

But I caught a message saying there is little space even with a 4gb card in it !! I assume that the apps aren't downloaded to the card directly so I have 2 questions -

1. Should I transfer apps to the card ?
2. Is it possible ?
3. Should I do it ?

Any advice on how to organise my apps would be most welcome but please understand I am not a phone 'whizz' so simple answers would be appreciated !!

Many thanks.

Edit: Just gone through appbrain and it tells me that Juicedefender install was unsuccessful but didn't state a reason !

I can't help but I will be watching this thread with interest. My new Desire HD should be arriving tomorrow.

    (2) Yes. Setting >> Applications >> Manage applications. Also there are some apps that can do the job.

    (1) and (3) - is there any difference between them?
You [STRIKE]should not [/STRIKE]don't have to, but you can if you want to free the internal memory.

There's a useful app called Apps2SD which makes it a lot easier to transfer your apps in bulk to the SD card.
Have I helped? Feel free to click the 'Thanks' button. I like to feel useful (and smug). ;)

You should not - why not ? and what apps shouldn't I transfer ? Would they not be updated ? but you can if you want to free the internal memory.

So I have filled up the internal memory then !

I have got kindle on the phone - should I transfer that ?

Apologies for my acting like a numpty but I have only had the phone 10 days !

    Thanks for your help.

    Bad wording.
You don't have to, but you can. It's OK and up to you.

I have got the standard desire but have been completely bowled over by what it can do !

I have installed a rail time app and it tells me which platform my train is on etc etc and any delays on the journey. Absolutely superb !

I only had a basic Nokia 5800 before so the move to this has come as a real eye-opener. I think you will be pleased.

I'm stupidly excited. I have a Wildfire at the moment but my ageing eyes really struggle with the screen resolution.

I'm on the 5800 at the moment which is playing up a bit and hope to get a HTC soon, sounds like it'd be a good switch! Thanks :-)

My old 5800 was a good phone but nothing compared to the Desire.

For Ovi maps you have Google Nav
A better camera on the Desire
    Far cooler internet access
    Apps to die for !

Worth saving up to get a Desire or equivalent !
