Wednesday 11th May 2011 What small DFW things will you do today?!?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.
oh my gawd can't believe I'm starting this when I've already woke up sp late!

Morning all. I'm a bit worried about going in to work today. I went AWOL on Monday afternoon and took yesterday off too. now I have to go and face the music. Have I ever mentioned that I hate my job? :rotfl:
I took advantage of my free day by writing a jobs list for the house and garden and doing 22 out of the 25. Result!!
So far I have:- fed and watered the chickens
- boxed up 2x half dozen eggs to sell
- had HM granola for breakfast
- gathered together a lunch of sorts
- checked banking
- checked for surveys
- get lift to and back from work
- get paid for eggs
- keep an eye on surveys throughout the day
- dinner from left-overs tonight
- meet up with a customer tonight and get the deposit for a corset and matching mini-skirt
- just buy one drink each in the pub where we're meeting

Good luck stitchy

Thanks for starting us off DNMS
I've started going into work a bit later now I don't have as much on (now only working my regular hours, which for some reason feels like hardly anything and like I'm skiving
) but I'm hoping it will mean I can post in the mornings and get myself focussed for the rest of the day :T
Thanks everyone for your lovely comments yesterday
I know that things are still moving in the right direction generally so I should just keep plodding along, just temporarily frustrating because I was used to seeing that cc come down by £400 a month and now it's just all going on loan repayments, but that is still a good thing. Just need to keep reminding myself...
So, enough of my waffle...- Looked seriously at June's budget  Can cover minimum payments on everything and full loan repayment and will have a whole £15 per week to spend on me  With this I mean, just on me/junk/clothes/make up/toiletries and stuff I probably don't even need so I am sure I can do this... If I want a take away one weekend then it means I need to follow it by a bunch of NSDs the following week... Hmm, we'll see how this goes. Wish me luck!
- Made lunch for work
- Walking everywhere
- Free cuppa in work - no milk at home anyway

- Tidying round tonight
- Watching The Apprentice - anyone see it last night? It's hilarious.
- Decide on friend's bday pressie...
