Have I just made life difficult for myself ??

Hi All,

I think i've made a muck up...

Today I rang T-Mobile for a PAC as I wanted to move to Talkmobile's £18/month deal with a free samsung galaxy s.

The chap offered me a deal to stay:
300 mins, unlimited texts (my chosen booster) & unlimited internet for £15 for 24 months with a galaxy ace which i accepted. He said I could go into my local store to collect the phone tomorrow, etc and the contract would start from tomorrow.

I was online checking my t-mobile account and saw a new option to renew plan - for some reason I decided to click through the options... saw the galaxy ace on my existing plan (600 mins, unlimited texts & internet) and a renewal time of 12 months.

Now I clicked that option as it was cheaper/shorter than the offer over the phone... have I just landed myself with 2 contracts or will the online acceptance supercede the verbal offer over the phone as I have not collected the phone?

Just having a bit of a flap now (hindsight is marvellous)
Any suggestions as to what I should do?

At this moment in time there will be 2 contracts, the first one which won't start until you collect the handset (so don't collect or sign for the handset and just go with your second deal).

Ok, should I ring the store to let them know or the call centre?
Want the online deal as it's better all round, but just stressing that they'll want me to pay for 2 contracts.

I didn't really think about it until after i'd done it...
other than... "oooh thats a better deal for 12 months instead of 24!"

It's ok you only have one contract you wont need to call anyone. When you speak to CS to cancel/upgrade and they allow you to collect the phone all they do is save the 'offer' on the upgrade system which allows the store to pull up the offer when you go in, sign and collect the phone. If you decided to do nothing your existing deal still continues.

As you upgraded online instead the offer to collect in store will have been cancelled and you will be on whatever you agreed too online now instead.

If you go into store and ask about an upgrade your account will show you have a while left as you upgraded just now.

The best thing tomorrow is text 'UP' to 150 and see what comes back, it should say you can upgrade in about a year or something.

I work in a retail store so know how the upgrade system works :)

thanks getti, i didn't go into the shop today, I received an email with a reference number for my upgrade... just got to wait for the phone to arrive and i'll keep an eye on my t-mobile online to make sure my contract is renewed with the 12 month deal.
