Thanks, as I am self employed I am not down as earning much last tax year. It was topped up in bonus' which I received two days ago. But last year I would only be down as earning £14000 before tax. My gf earned around £13000 but obviously now on maternity pay. From March this year.
How much will we roughly receive? I can't do the calculator link as I'm on a useless old phone. Thanks all!0 -
Just a thought on the milk front. My Dr wrote me prescriptions for it (admittedly soya) but it saved me £9 a tin at the time not sure if you'd get anywhere with cows milk but might be worth asking.Time, Tide and Diarrhoea wait for no man.0

not sure how much you would get but when I did ours (baby is now 8mths) we put down what we earnt in previous tax year and sent it off they sent us the decision and back dated it 3mths and that was put into our account - I then rang them and gave them an estimate for the amount I was going to be getting for the current tax year (remember any amount your partner gets she can deduct £100 a week maternity from it and give them the new figure for example if she gets £120 a week just count the £20 a week - it explains it in the pack you get)
we now get nothing due to the changes like alot of people
but if you total household income is under £42,000 gross then you will be entitled to something - get it done before baby is 3mths old as if you qualify for higher rate then you can apply for the surestart grant as well think its now £250 for 1st baby only used to be £500 for every baby.0 -

They only prescribe the soya based baby formula as there is a medical need to be on that milk they would never ever prescribe normal formula as they have to promote breastfeeding0
