    Good morning all

Caz - There's no reason why you can't do both....

Start a seperate diary, Gothrockcic has one on here, called the "Alternative Millionaire". I'm sure you would still be welcome to post on here too and join in the chat.

A diary might help you stay on track but I also like this thread because we share information and ideas, spur each other on and offer support and encouragement. Plus it's nice to just chat sometimes with like minded people.

Other than my sons not many people in RL are aware of my ambitions and plans. I tend to play my cards close to my chest in that respect.

I think there are few people who actually "get" what we are trying to achieve - especially at my age.........:rotfl: - they would think I'm either crazy or deluded.

There are even fewer people who can be bothered, who just aren't prepared to put in the effort. They would probably pity me and call me a hopeless dreamer.

Which is good news for us.........:rotfl: Less competition. ;)

What the detractors don't know is how I have turned things around - none of them know that just a few years ago I was on the verge of bankruptcy.

Another nice little cheque this morning. A Christmas gift from FIL. I'm not going to fritter it on crap. I don't need anything (quite the reverse I'm drowning in "stuff") so I'm going to salt it away.

My eldest boy has also decided he can now afford to pay me back some money I lent him when his new bathroom went over budget, so another nice little dollop landed in my bank this morning.

I'm raking it in this month.:rotfl:

I have already enough money set aside to smash that £1k target for Jan 1st.

Looks like a good start to the New Year..........:D

I love this to, just somewhere to chat and get our plans laid out that 99% of people would look at you and say you were crazy.

My friend I was telling you about was on the phone a couple days ago saying everyone I tell my idea to just keeps bringing me down. I told her they don't understand, that 99% of people will get a job start a family and live pay check to pay check and if they are lucky will get a promotion but they will never do anything outside the box - speak to your partner, speak to me, speak to his parents because we are all business minded and you'll get a whole other reaction then 'it will never happen'.

I know my partner knows I write on this thread but he is just not a curious mind like me...if it was him writing on a thread I'd be reading up every week. :rotfl::rotfl: ... he may have a look one day or over my shoulder but other then that this is a bit of a safe haven for me.

:xmassign: I have some red wine I'm about to open to cook things in, and a bottle of Pimms, which is new for me - very luvly-jubbly!

Am definitely using the break to hatch lots of plans - in fact, I've been doing it already on that MFW diary of mine I mentioned to Caz :D

Health, wealth and happiness to all.

    Hope everyone enjoyed Xmas :D

Just a note, my partner took out a phone with Giff Gaff and was just looking into paying it off and we don't have any information about it whatsoever - when he signed up he pays part for his phone and part for the contract but he never got an e-mail about the loan of the phone it was just set up through giff gaff.

The contract is all on giff gaff but I looked into the bank statements and it's going to 'Rate Setter'

Nice to know where the p2p money is going? I might look into it over the next few days even if we only pay £5 a month to start I suppose it's a side savings pot...

    New year is coming!!

Edit: Just added £10 on to see how it goes...£10 at 2.7% for 1 month so I make a grand total of 2p!!! ...but hey I guess it's a trial and wanted to see how it worked. Really annoys me the site is not very informative on how it all works...unless I am just missing it but I googled it in the end.
