Hey all!
I'd love to join this challenge! This is right up my street! It's not the million that I want, just the opportunities that it brings.
It can be my added challenge to help you all find your millionaire idea!
For those who think they don't have any ideas, let me know! I'm sure I can suggest a few businesses that would be cheap to start and don't take up much time based on your interests/experience.
After I set up my business my friends often said they would like to do the same but they didn't know what to do! I've helped out 3 friends now with ideas and suggestions and they're all working in their businesses now!0 -

I've done this for 3 friends and they're all working in their businesses now!
Welcome Little Miss Uni-Debt!
I'm very intrigued about these business ideas you have. I'm at a total dead end at the moment and lots of spare time to be devoting to other opportunities!0 -
Hi LVM,
There really is plenty of things that can be done to build real businesses.
I'm not talking about answering surveys or data entry or other time consuming tasks but something that you love doing and is beneficial to others.
For example one of my friends said he would be perfectly happy playing World of Warcraft every day.
First I told him he was a huge geekand then we disussed how he could make money from this idea.
Now what I suggested he do is target beginners starting out in the game. So he creates a new character in the game and records videos showing how to get to each level, complete tasks etc, all aimed at new players of the game.
He posts these on a website and allows people to subscribe for a few £'s per month. He has got about 200+ subscribers at £3.99 a month. Also there is no limit to how many users he has.
He spends a lot of time adding content because he is happy to but he doesn't have to!Now I know nothing about World of Warcraft but it's a good business model that works and fits his schedule. That's why it works well.
So what are your interests? We can discuss on here for everyone to chip in or you can PM me.0 -
I'd love to join this challenge. I'm saving for my house deposit so all motivation is good. In the last year and a bit I've managed to make/save £8000 without being particuarly frugal.
My car is paid off on August 31st so after this my amount that I'm able to comfortable save each month is £500. Also applied for an evening job so we'll see how that goes.
Starting my own beauty business too, got a few clients booked in so looking forward to that income (less tax and NI)
ISA has been opened so I can save my full allowance and make £176 interest. Will have a mass ebay session at some point too.
So this year (well whats left of it) is going to be super frugal and hopefully quite lucrative!!0 -
I always try to remind myself - there is a limit to how much you can cut back but there is no limit to your earnings!0

Well back to work today...supposed to be off and off next week aswel(would be my third weeks holiday but really needing to maximise earnings so back today. Priced a job this morning and told start straight away. 2 weeks take home pay would be about £1,300 or so for me now on average so priced it at that thinking it would take a week at most myself. So priced up at £1,350...looks like it will be finished tomorrow. It will be a fair bit less than £1,350 after deductions. But a great pay for 2 days work if i say so myself.
Then back to usual work for rest of week i think...should earn another £500 or so there for 3 or 4 days work then 3 or 4 days off and holidays over.
Just have to hope its a fine day tomorrow and get all that job finished. Its all relevant and helping towards my millionare goal :beer:Work in progress...Update coming July 2012.

I do know a way of making over £1M for an infinitesimal outlay and very, very little work. However despite my valiant efforts I have been unable to fine tune this so that I become a millionaire. If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0

I am retired so now I have the time to make money. I already have a website that makes a small amount from affiliate marketing, Adsense and ebay. My interests are dog agility, bird watching, writing and jewellery. Any ideas? The main interest is really dogs and anything to do with dogs.Don't mess with pensioners. :cool:0 -
Just read the first few comments about making a million, and it's really got me wanting to make a million (not that I didn't want to before anyways but you know!)
I wonder if I could do it? It's great to aim high sometimes, at least if you try your hardest to hit it you'll get somewhere! I just turned 22 a few months ago and only have student debt & have a small amount of savings already......but I'd love to do some 'hardcore money making' to get anywhere near the 1 million target!
It's definitely got me thinking!....0
