Oooh I'm all agog. Sounds good.
Shall be watching this space with interest.....;)
Still aiming to L/C on Friday. Fortunately don't have to vacate here until 13th August so plenty of time to plan a fairly easy move and reduce the stress levels.
DS2's purchase seems to be going ok.
These things don't half drag on. Never mind it's too hot for dashing around and getting stuck into renovating properties at the moment.
Instead I'm using my time designing, planning, scheming and plotting.:rotfl:
Don't know about you lot but I'm struggling to stay focussed in this heat.
I feel like I should be on a yacht swanning round the Med..... One Day!!!
In the meantime I'm just going to take an hour or so to sit in the garden with a good book until it cools down.0 -

Once we have our millions, we'll be doing that every day, only pausing to update the yacht thread on here with photos.0 -

Why aren't you sleeping.

With the blog I have taken my first blog-related profit of £40 and have another scheme where I am up to $24 but my points are growing and will hit the real payout I want in a few months which is $170 I think...
Just started a new scheme for $1 which promises to make me rich - usually scams but worth a try for the blog if nothing else. If it makes me any money at all - I'll come on here to point you to my blog post so that you get the strategy right.
In the mean time have had quite a few PMs and will get back to you all ASAP.
Gonna make me a million! Overall I am in loss so far.0 -

The weather really is scorching here, Scotland's not used to this! Must be the longest dry spell there's been in years. Looking at cost of BTL I think il be in financial position end of next year, however might leave it longer just to get 35% deposit instead of 25% and I'd rather buy before summer than winter! Right now I'm looking at ways to better my credit rating, it wasn't the best so I was perhaps lucky I got my mortgage, don't know why it wasn't so great but something to bear in mind! Got a cc that fuel goes on and the odd purchase but cleared every month. Not sure how else could try to improve my score. As for the BTL I might keep this place as my BTL that I'm living in and rent it out an move into bigger place, depends what's about on the market. Either way now we've a mortgage here we are under no pressure or hurry for the next step.
Just want to try and get a long low interest rate fixed, somewhere to feed surplus income as banks are losing you money.:eek:Living frugally at 24

Delboy Trotter.
Did you watch that wheeler/dealer programme last night. It followed three sets of people who were trying to make a living by Del Boy type trading. Although none of them appeared to be having a great deal of luck you had to admire their get up and go. I'm sure their persistence will reap rewards in the long term.
I definitely need to do some trading but am just so busy with the houses at the moment.
The problem is both trading and house renovations are pretty much "hands on". Plus of course there is all the endless on going nursing home visiting/distance caring.
What I really need is something more passive - either that or grow another pair of hands.......:rotfl: Maybe I should clone myself like that film "Multiplicity".
Toastking - most of us started from a position of loss. It is what has spurred me on. Just about losing everything and then having to rebuild.
Keep going - you'll be just fine.
Young Businessman - my son had a poor credit rating. He would never have got a mortgage. He worked on it and resolved it, bit by bit. He signed up to Experian for a year and just did whatever it took. I acted as his unofficial Debt Management Planner. I cleared his worst debts and then he paid me back each month. You managed to get a mortgage so yours must be reasonable. Can you check it and see work out what you need to do.
Blisteringly hot here - we are a long way inland...
I am staying indoors until it cools down this evening, meantime I am cracking on with the packing. We get the keys tomorrow so will start moving the small stuff over the weekend.
I have booked the removal vans for next Thursday but am packing everything myself to keep costs down a bit.
Survey finally being arranged on DS2's house. A lot of delays with this one, not nearly so smooth as DS1's move.
We would like to complete on DS2's property by September at the latest because we want to get the external works done before winter sets in.
OK - coffee break over - those boxes are not going to pack themselves.0 -

I REALLY want to do that!
Quick update, not having a great time money wise some unexpected expenses and other "stuff".
In other news my zopa investment is doing ok- made a whole £5
To be honest I am pleased and will continue to invest there as it is the best return I can get and every little bit helps.......
I am thinking up all kinds of schemes but the reality is they all take time. Am considering using my savings to pay off some debts. And then I worry about not having a safety net.
I shall go have a think
thanks as ever for the inspiration

Hi all a few snippets of news
OH has got a temporary job which will keep him going until mid Sept and I found out last week that I am getting a payrise as of next month.
Now I am not paying all the bills I am going to have a month off and spend whatever I want and then back onto the bandwagon and save some money and invest again into Zopa.
I hope everyone is well.0 -

Been avidly following our prospective millionaires with great interest!
How much can you invest in zopa pls? Is there a minimum? Do you have to tie up your money for a certain length of time?
Also how risky is investing in shares? As you can tell I know absolutely nothing about this or the best way to go about it.
Is there a minimum and how long before you start seeing a return pls?
Sorry for all the questions.
