Stick it on eBay with a good description and lots of photos as spares or repair.

I hear what your saying but the car generally is in mint condition i am not just going to give it away regardless of the MOT. If i sell for £100 of course i am going to take the tax off.

obviously you didnt hear what i was saying at all

if you leave the tax on and stick an MOT on it you will get considerably more for the car than you would without the tax and MOT

MOT it and you'll get £500

don't MOT it and it's only worth scrap/spares - If the panels are straight and the engine decent then try for £200.

Not sure why you think it's in mint condition? From your description so far it sounds in decent condition only, £50 to get potentially £300 more for the car, I know what I would do.

Put it on at more if you like but it wont sell, not the way things are at the moment unfortunately

Personally I wouldn't even look at a car with no MOT.

I have better things to do with my time than try to get a car through all that carp, no matter how perfect the seller thinks their car is..

No ticket, needs work, reputation as a rust bucket.

£50 is what i would pay, not a penny more, if you took of the tax then £20.

The best bet is as already suggested an eBay ad, spares or repairs, with lots of photos is the only way to get a decent return.

I take it you realise that an old car without a ticket is worthless?

However the basic facts of cars at that end of the market are it is worth what somebody will pay.

There are plenty of people that will buy it on condition alone and don't know enough to pay nothing, these people are common on eBay. Sadly so are halfwits and timewasters..........

I am using this car at the moment (well not op's but a courtesy car) And It's a good little runner.

Op you prob get about £100 for it as it stands :(.

If it were me I would do what the above suggests and get it through an MOT even if you don't get the work done least you can note what faults there are. Then list as a reserve of £150, But with the tax disc reserve at £200+ (eBay and auto trader)

There are always people out there looking for a runner for their kids etc, so this would be ideal, really cheap on insurance etc.

    Or scrap it for £50ish
