UK - Hamburg (Haye fight) challenge

hi,
i've got tickets for myself and a friend to travel to Hamburg for the Haye Klitshcko Boxing on 2nd July.
while trying to book tickets and flights at the same time the cheapest flight prices doubled and i havent yet made any travel arrangements.
therefore i was wondering what suggestions/experiences the awesome MSE forum users may have.
So far the options are to
drive - Nottingham - Hamburg via Eurostar. (Leave Friday, 2 nights Hotel, travel back sunday) Cost = £97 eurostar, petrol, hotel = split between 2.
fly - Birmingham - Hamburg (Leave Sat am, Return Sun am/pm) Cost = £270 currently approx each
Fly - Birmingham - Hannover / Train Hannover - Hamburg. (Leave Fri am, 2 nights hotel, Return Sun pm) Cost - Flights £149 currently each, Train £35 each, Hotel.
Other options are possibly Bremen but no flights found at suitable times.
I would be interested and extremely grateful to see what suggestion other moneysavers have found
