^^^^^ YES !!!! probably one of the menu items if you right-click on the wireless connection (in network centre, manage network connections) will be Enable

what make is the laptop? reason i ask as there is probably a switch either on the side of the laptop or a certain key press to enable/disable wireless.0

its a toshiba satellite i have tried pressing fn then f8 but nothing happen and onscreen some icons come up showing all the f keys but f8 isnt on there!0

just last couple days cmatt! when i click network adapters it comes up
realtek RTL8102E/RTL8103E family pci-efast ethernet nic
on my laptop i have got somthing different to that
will look for model num tomorrow and post
