Advice Require - Sixt car hire problem

Hello,
Six months ago I booked car hire for 2 weeks in spain. Cost about £300. The Sixt website offered flexible payment (ie. not paying until picking up the car) or to "take advantage of our best price" pay up-front.
I paid up front.
I then check the price a couple of days ago to discover the exact same car etc. available for £100 less. This was not a special offer, just standard pricing. I wrote asking Sixt to consider doing something and they said I could cancel but it would cost me £80 to do so.
I have written numerous times and called them but they say I did get the best price at the time. That's not what the website says however, just get the best price. They are basically saying I have fixed the price. In fact, by paying up front: they have had my money for six months; I am subject to cancellation fees which I would not otherwise have; and am paying more than I would pay had I booked now.
Surely there is some obligation on Sixty's part to reflect my commitment to them? To just say, tough, pay £80 if you want out, seems unreasonable to me.
Does anyone have any similar experience or advice?
Thanks,
Simon
