*niptuckfan* wrote: »Kisto can I ask how you made the felt stockings? they look fab!!
They're really easy and cheap to make.
1) Buy several different colour felt squares (available from fabric/craft shops)
2) Cut out a stocking shape from some stiff card and use this as a template to cut your stockings out of the different colour felt (I have cut out 18).
3) Use the off cuts from the felt to make shapes, to adorn the stocking (I have cut out stars, hearts, snowmen and some just have a coloured block along the top)
4) Glue the shapes onto the stocking (I just used PVA glue and it's stuck well)
5) I then made a loop out of green wool and sewed this to the top corner of each stocking.
6) I then used the same green wool and threaded on each stocking.
7) I have some of the stockings facing left and some facing right.:T*Thanks to all who posts comps * :j0 -

Love what you've done with the baubles, how do you get them to saty up?
Sorry I haven't replied sooner as I only just noticed your Question.
The baubles are attached to the lights with those little silver pegs you can buy to hang cards etc. Think I had seen the idea in one of the Christmas magazines and thought it would brighten the mantelpiece up.Money SPENDING Expert0 -

Hi all.
I am loving all these piccies.
I cant wait to get mine up now. We put the tree up, put the lights on went to get the decorations and they have disappeared  Searched the loft 3 times and shed but to no avail!
I am going to get some more today and will post piccies once done!
Well dont to all who have already posted! :T0 -
I put my tree up last night but not taken any pics yet. This year I have a brown tree and it is red and gold decorations, well, mostly gold but I kepy my collection of santas and put them on. I am annoyed that I can't find the two Santas I bought out in San Diego a few years ago - they were brilliant, one is on a speedboat and the other is wearing bermuda shorts!!!!
I also have 2 Harrods baubles on there (one each for the years me neice and nephew were born), the bauble I got in Disneyland, and the bauble that neice and nephew brought me back from Disneyland Paris earlier this year."Life may not always be the party you wish for, but whilst here you may aswell dance"!!!

Hi all, loving the trees, before I post my pic I'd better warn all you with christmas tree OCD to look away! I love a messy tree with everything chucked at it!!
Thanks for whoever posted the pic with the brown paper wrapped pressys, they looked so good I wrapped a couple of empty boxes in brown paper and red ribbon to go under my tree (can't keep the real presents under the tree, I have a hard enough time keeping the dog from eating the branches, let alone the presents!!)
The photo of course doesn't do it justice, and it looks sooooo good with the lights off, I have 2 sets of lights on mine, one set just stays on steady, the other flickers.
