  • Beautiful trees - I love those pressies all wrapped in brown paper too - beautfully co-ordinated. Hopefully ours will go up next weekend - although it never looks as nice in a photo as it does in real life.

paigesmummy - if you want to change your colour scheme peacock-y blues, greens and blue-y greens look lovely with silver, and I am sure I have seen decorations in those colours - or you could spray some, like curlyjo said.

Loving the photos. Now, we just need to break into the loft to get the tree out (moved here this year and screwed the loft hatch shut as we're still putting up a firebreak with next door in the loft...unfortunately rounded the screws lol). Not sure that it will fit in this house either (old place had a big bay window but this is a tiny cottage!)

    Hmmm, time for a rethink...

I will get my pics up when i get home :)

    Everyones decs look fab :D

We put our tree up at the weekend, its my first christmas in my own home so I am really looking foward to it :D

We put the tree up on saturday (real one) and we had it just right and the OH decided it was leaning a little so said he would "fix it" The tree ended up falling on top of him :p - Men can never leave things alone :p

Answer to the above post about putting up a real tree, this is the third year in a row we have put a real tree up on the first week of decemeber and it usually lasts.

We tend to go for a fir rather than a spruce if this makes any difference.

On another note, when do everyone put their presents under the tree - I have noticed a lot of people have put theirs under their tree already. I was thinking about putting outs under the tree the weekend before christmas. My OH god daughter is coming over on 15th/16th Dec and i didnt want the presents under the tree then, she is almost 3 and i dont want her thinking why hasnt santa brought our presents or ask questions or incase she opens them :p
