Ive got a high powered meeting in about 15 minutes and am wearing my one power suit (its a karen millen but got off ebay for 14 quid, and is perfect haha so stingy)
So Im away in the branch to see where the hell it has gone.
I can be a bit scary if required but I get the feeling my half day of family fun is going to be impacted by me dealing with this malarky.
Muppets! thats one word for them, a tad flattering to their capability though.

Eeh I am sorry lasses, I have been holidaying at home with the kids and things have been mad as a box of frogs.
I have had a migraine, and it left me weak as water and I had so much stuff to do.
We have done sorting clearing packing football watching, haircuts sleepovers and I have done taxi service, visited the ducks and went foraging on the fells.
I am away on holiday on the jet plane tonight... taking half the house and some stuff for any eventuality, including an extendable dog leader incase DS tries to run off (can attach to reigns on the beach, hes at that run away stage)
Where shall I start (which of the entities formerly known as muppets shall I attack first?)
lloyds.
Well, wearing my KM suit I went into Lloyds on my half day, guns blazing like a hero.
the "account" the money was paid into, was closed, and well closed, ten years ago.
So the lady behind the counter, after me asking her questions which she didnt have a clue about or want to pursue, gave me a number to call.
I got home in about 5 minutes, and then called Lloyds.
Apparently, even though I had taken over the debts and full responsibility as the PPi was in ex husbands name they couldnt pay it out to me. It was in a holding account.
That was annoying.
So I rang my solicitor.
Anyway, three days down the line, and the solicitor has got back to me. Lloyds want me to ring them and pass on my bank account details.
BACK OF THE NET!!
But you know, its swimming upstream.
If this is character building I will eat my hat.
Tax credits.
Well decided to firebomb tax credits and ran through the scenario umpteen times in my head. I will have to ring them today though. So best hold off til after the call.
Basically, there has been a payment of three times what I would normally get, which is not a massive amount mind... in my account today. I just looked and yes.
The normal payment has not been paid too. So its not an additional payment. I think.
I rang up yesterday and asked what was happening and it had not been processed. So I have no idea whats going on.
Doubt they do, but I will ask.
Got ebay and general other chuff to post today, and will sit for a while with the dogs, my old ladies.
Daughter no 1 and my parents are looking after them (no WAY could they go into a kennel, they are 12 and 14 and have to be in charge of my 6 cats. Theres a lovely little group thing goes on and they are best off at home in the day and taken out at night)
yes 6 cats, they keep moving in and I just buy more cat food frontline etc. i started with 4 but they made freinds.
MY kitchen corner consists of a german shepherd, a retriever a damp tom cat and a bit of a whiffy dog blanket, which will get washed today.
Will take them to the fells later and do some more foraging. Got bilberries, blackberries and crab apples, made crab apple chutney and froze berries.
Got a bag of cooking apples so made some apple sauce, and thats in the freezer for winter pies.
Im like Fanny Craddock eh? Or at least part of that.
Right I shall try and pop back later as husbands off now and he is insisting I sit down a bit on an afternoon. The migraine is still hanging on, hence why I am up now and the dishes are done, needed some medicines cos it was a bit hurty . Boo hoo.Trying to shift that debt!0 -
