Orange BB. I have been Tango'ed. Watch out!
This is a warning for all Blackberry users who are on the Orange PAYG (£5 per month) deal (or who THINK they are).
I was trying out this service on a donated BB so I kept my old phone and just used the BB for internet. However, my credit was leaking away constantly. I phoned 450 several times and they reimbursed me but offered NO HELP as to how I could rectify the situation. It just kept on taking my money to use the internet: a service for which I had already paid.
Finally, I got onto a rep who, after much pressing, told me that I was NOT using the BB service because my phone was not set up right. It seemed that my BB registration had just vanished without my being informed. I had to re-register and also make sure that none of my apps linked to "Orange World" instead of the BB service.
My point is this: if I had been using my BB to make calls and send texts, I might never have noticed what was going on. How many other people out there are being tricked into paying £5 per month for a service they don't get and then have to pay again to use the net?

No-ones being tricked, it's just your phone wasnt setup correctly0

For the record, my phone WAS set up correctly.
It was UN-SET without my knowledge or permission and there is, as far as I know, no way of finding out whether or not Blackberry registration is still in effect. The only possible way might be to keep track of ALL calls and texts and work out whether the balance has otherwise been depleted.
The other point Dr Besty seems to have missed is the fact that the customer reps could not (or would not) explain to me what was going on. Eventually, I pressed one of them very hard and got the explanation. The point of my post was to warn other users of the potential trap.:A
