No ! I'm not am I ?:j OK, I'll reorder:Dapprentice_tycoon wrote:But you're on the acknowledgements page! you have to keep the faith and go with it0 -
It's still 'available to preorder' at Amazon
, they're saying the 15th Dec. 0 -
OK folks
Just to confirm - the Play deal was to get it before it went in the shops - technically this should be the 14th Dec - which means you should have it by the 12th at the latest. I hope.
As for who its aimed at - well if you think about it - the regulars on here are the ones who contributed to the book- almost the writers - so its not surprising many of you will know what's in it! The key to the book is its full of handy hints and tips for newbies, and nicely collated for more experienced OS'ers. Plus the aim is to link through to the site for more info.
I hope it brings many more to the OS fold and raises a fortune for charity

Cola contains a caramel colourant and I know I have certainly cautioned people about using it on a regular basis!molesworth wrote:...
I was very interested in the cleaning ideas because housework is a struggle for me. But wasn't there a warning on here about cola discolouring toilets?... .
It's a tip which seems to have been taken out of context. It was given as a tip to use up leftover cola (rather than throw it away!) which would make it a moneysaving idea.
However, once it's taken out of context and used *instead* of bleach, then it becomes a moneywaster because it causes staining which then needs to be dealt with!!
thriftlady - hate to say it but I'm not rushing out to buy it either
But, I have "ordered" it from my local library

Well, I finished my copy in the wee hours of this morning... and have written a review (all good of course) for amazon. It takes 24 hours (min) to appear though, so waiting...
Such a good book. Very impressed.TKP wrote:Loads of tips (my limescale encrusted taps are soaking in vinigar and lemon juice (in a plastic bag) as I write!)
It worked! I have spent loads of time and money trying to get the encrusted limescale off these taps, and the vinigar just worked. No effort, nothing. Thank you whoever gave that tip!!!!! :TSave the earth, it's the only planet with chocolate!

amazon rejected my review:(
Not sure why as it was positive etc. They said

Very dissapointed!

mine arrived this morning - It is a really nice size - more square than rectangular which I like. It gives it an 'eary to dip into' first impression ;-)
So far read the intro, but plan to sit down tommorrow with a cuppa and go through it in detail. I especially like the bit at the begining about the challenges. I ahve tried to follow the PMS challenge before, but got a bit confused so its great to have it in print in my hand.
Great job Martin - thanks to everyone on the board too.

Thank you
I see they deleted the bit where I put moneysavingexpert.com. Maybe that caused the delay? Save the earth, it's the only planet with chocolate!
