Is there any blind people getting High rate DLA yet

i was contacted back in March to tell me that as im registered blind i may be getting the High rate, as yet im still waiting.
Is anyone actually getting the Higher rate yet, or are they just dragging things out so as never to pay it to people with a Visual Impairement.

Very few people registered blind actually fit the strict criteria set down by the goverment but some are getting paid HRM and have been since the 11 April when it was rolled out, there is a thread about it on disability and dosh, you could post this on that thread.

Hi Sunnyone mentioned you were asking about HRM for the blind (or severly blind as they are now calling us) and I am getting HRM from this eligibility, have been since 11th of April and got my award notice on the 22nd of March.

Litteraly just off to bed though but will post again in the morning and one of us will find the thread for you then if you haven't found it yet.
