Carphone Warehouse Cashback - How Long?

On Oct 18th I sent my first cashback claim to CPW by recorded delivery. Royal Mail confirmed it was delivered by Oct 24th, and I also received a text from CPW confirming receipt on that day too. On Nov 8th CPW sent me a text saying my claim had been successful. Still no sign of any cheque though.

My understanding is that this should arrive within 30 days, but 30 days from when? Is it from when they receive the claim, or from when they approve the claim?

CPW do pay up but it can take a while. Mine often takes 5-6 weeks.

I would also advise checking that the correct amount is being sent to you (see my thread on CPW).

I received my last cheque on 2nd December. I sent my bill to them on 9th November. The payment before then also took a similar time. I believe their terms and conditions state that you may have to wait between 30 to 60 days.

OK thanks. Having had a dig around their website it seems to depend on where you buy the phone.

For web purchases: "Your cheque will be sent within 60 days of us receiving your claim provided you are eligible and we can verify the claim."

For store purchases: "Your cheque will be sent within 30 days of us receiving your claim provided you are eligible and we can verify the claim."

Looks like I may have a 60 day wait then.
