I'm changing phones and I have copied all my contacts on the LG from Sim => phone.

How do I now transfer them to the Samsung? Or is the above wrong? I had to so that my number could be ported across so SIM contacts would be lost?

Would have thought you need to copy contacts from phone to Sim.
And stick the Sim into the new Samsung and copy from Sim to Phone.

Or use something like google to store your contacts in the never never everywhere world but above will do the task.

Transferring to SIM will do at a push, but you will lose any extra information. An improvement is to export them to a memory card or send them by Bluetooth.

Its far better to keep your contacts in the handset and synced/backed up either with an online service or with your PC. That way if you change or lose a phone you haven't lost your contacts and it's easy to transfer them.
