I emailed them nicely asking to join webview. They emailed back to say they did not have any vacancies. Then a few weeks later I got an invite.

No referral required, just go to the web site and apply

Depends on demographics regarding acceptance, if you fit in with what they want, in your area, then you are in, if not then expect a long wait
