    Assuming your new laptop is wireless enabled then most of them boot up with the wireless enabled.
    Depending on the initial setup, i.e are you setting up windows, you'll need to open the network and sharing centre, look at the available wireless networks, identify yours, click connect and type in the password you previously set up for your old computer.

    Mostly the SSID and network key are on a label on your router's bottom.
    That gum you like is coming back in style.
  • I agree with Yolina. you also want to take out the old ram modules as they are can be really handy at times.

    That's great, ta. I know people will think I'm batty but I find all this stuff bloody terrifying and it always goes to hell with me...:) The shop is putting in Firefox for me and it runs on Windows 7.

    If it's been agreed as a trade in for a new PC, then removing the RAM and taking an 'eavy 'ammer to the hard drive might just aggravate the retailer a little bit...
    No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
