Bought a new computer today and have to collect it tomorrow. What do I take out of this one ? I have online banking and amazon accounts etc - is it possible to get all this out ? What else do I do ?

Assuming you have a version of Windows on both, you might want to start with the "Files and Settings Transfer Wizard" in Accessories, System Tools.
How much of your stuff gets transferred across will depend on whether you use MS applications - so for example if your browser is IE, all of your favourites, etc will be transferred, but if you use Firefox they won't be.0 -
Your online accounts are (as the name impies) online, all that is saved in the old PC is the link to the relevant web pages. Copying your Bookmarks or favourites will enable you to transfer them to your new browser.
If you are dumping the old PC and you've saved passwords and usernames etc, then you need to remove all that first. No free lunch, and no free laptop

I do hope you bought it somewhere sensible and not an overpriced 'high street' type chain or dodgy local 'PC man'0

If you are disposing of your old PC, remove the hard drive and hit it hard with a heavy hammer.
Or keep in in a drawer. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
What are you planning to do with the old one?
Is there anything wrong with it?!!

I'd say: if you are disposing of your old PC, remove the hard drive, get an enclosure for a few £ and there you go, extra HDD for backups or whatever else

Sorry I'm a halfwit - should've said I'm trading it in against a new one. Local computer sales/repair shop that I have used for 9 years.0

Forgot how I connected to the wireless router - know I had a nightmare with it when we got it - on the new computer, do I go into "control panel" and try it from there?
Also this will sound mad, but I forgot how I got my AOL Mail into Firefox...I need that for my emails. Is that just an add-on ?0 -
Click on the wireless icon in the taskbar, find your network, enter the encryption key.No free lunch, and no free laptop
