Christmas starts for me when........

Yesterday, someone posted that Christmas starts for them when the Christmas Radio Times comes out! I feel the same, but since I was a child I've always thought Christmas has started when Blue Peter have their last show. They light the lat candle in the Advent Crown, and sing carols round the tree. Forty years on, and it's still the same! :rotfl:
So come on guys, when does it REALLY start for you?

Well, my birthday is on the 1st of December, so that's when I start planning in earnest. I do most of my present buying in November though, and I do the pudding and cake early too. But Christmas doesn't really start until we put the tree up the week before Christmas.0

When all the housework has been done and everything is spotless; all the presents have been bought and wrapped; all the planning has been finalised and I can sit down and catch my breath for more than five minutes. :rotfl:0

So for me that's about 9 pm on Christmas day when I can get a big glass of wine, a comfy seat and watch some bad telly when everyone has gone home.
Or when we have our work Christmas party which is next week.;)0 -

Oh yes, I can identify with that! When I was little, that is when Christmas started for me. Now I don't really feel Christmas has started until I have finished work - 12 noon on 22nd this year - and all the food shopping is done and I can finally sit down with a large glass of Baileys and admire the tree. I like to sit with the lights off, just the fairy lights on, and get lost in memories. I always do a little buffet on Christmas Eve and that's when I finally start to feel festive.
Also anytime I hear The Pogues and Kirsy McColl I get a warm feeling :xmastree:Dealing with my debt and my weight

Christmas eve when the Quality St or Roses get opened and we watch a Christmas film.......bliss.
I also love to get my Christmas TV times and really sad, but I go through it with a highlighter pen, planning what to tape or watch. I also love to see the Christmas specials of kids programmes, but these seem to be getting less each year.
I hope CH5 do their afternoon Christmas movies this year, It doesn't matter how rubbish it is as long as there is a bit of Christmas magic i'm happy.
