Can't you teach the parrot something useful to say like 'please buy my lovely house, it's really good value' ?

    I've been Money Tipped!
My mother is an animal lover but has a bird phobia, they are not uncommon.

Our pets always used to sell the house....people loved the cat showing them round and the dogs (outside for viewings) but these days I'd try and put them somewhere else TBH.

will your parot be relaxed with people he doesn't know well coming in? My friend's yells the place down if she's not sure or, more often, if she wants attention. Its VERY loud and could be off putting. If the parrot stays, may be teach him something ''aspirational'' to sing....help make it seem like an aspirational place ;)

Our current house (not mine, my parents') had two dogs, one of which bit me on the nose during a viewing :rotfl:

Maybe you should just warn the viewers before they come in and say you can move it outside if they're afraid of birds?

The clock beeps from 24, I love that ! It certainly wouldn't put me off. I once viewed a house which was incredibly untidy. When we went upstairs the owner said 'watch where you walk, I don't want you to step on the hamster'. So no, a parrot in a cage, preferably singing, would not put me off at all.

not a problem for me...i would be throwing your carpets out anyway...
It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.

Agent was back out tonight and he's told us not to worry about him, he thinks he's funny and he's already learnt his tricks (if you wave he waves his wings back) so the agent said he can't wait to do that when we're not here.... lol

Ah well first viewing tomorrow so we shall see!!

I have a friend who wants a parrot so she can teach it to say "Help I've been turned into a parrot"

    :-)
