I'm going to Belgium in a couple of weeks and I'll be leaving my smart phone at home and taking an old Nokia PAYG with me. Only for emergencies really. I reckon I can last a week without Facebook (just)...
That's a great idea - I turned off roaming on my iPhone when I was in France for a long weekend recently - but it was impossible to resist switching back on a few times just to catch up with Facebook and no doubt costing me lots for the privilege!

    Hi.

The £2 a day option, does it just charge you per day you actually use it?. Say i sign up in england today but travel to spain at the end of next month, i am not charged from today for it am i?...

Hi You're correct it charges you just when used. However I found my Iphone did check email overnight so IU got the £2 warning in the morning, not a bother as I was expecting it, but somethign to be aware of.

2 days in Ghent, £4 bill for 3g data, but wasn't using it a lot except for finding one final pub by google maps :)

    Hi.

Did you have to phone up customer services to get the £2 a day option enabled?. I keep finding conflicting messages on this. Some say you do, some say you get it automatically but if you want the 310 option you have to phone up.
