Apologies if question has been asked before.
I have 5 months left to run on a 24 month Orange contract at £25 pm, I find I'm not using a third of the minutes I'm contracted too, also the mobile web or text, I think a rolling one month contract with a bought phone might suit me better, anyway thats my problem, is it possible to buy my way out or is there a certain period that one can do it, Orange have done nothing wrong.....................it's me fed up with 2 year contract.:(
Also got this phone from Orange shop via the internet, could I terminate agreement (if I can) at an Orange high street shop.

You will have to pay for all the remaining months upfront if you want to cancel.
Some operators allow downgrading to the next lower tariff after you pass the middle of the contract (am not sure about Orange).

grumbler: I wish to honour my contract with Orange, but before I speak to them I want to be sure of what I can and what I cannot legally do, is 5 months to far away?, does it have to be 3 months minimum?, once these are sorted out, I will be able to move on.

You can cancel the contract but you will ave to pay a settlement fee. Give the customer care team a ring dial 150 from your orange mobile.

You can cancel in the first month if you want, but it'll cost you 23x monthly cost.

There's no limit to when you can buy yourself out, you go do it whenever you like. . .

If you can reduce it down to a £20, do that. Then, once the tariff change takes effect, on your next bill date, call up 07973 100150 option 1,2,4 to speak to someone. Ask to speak to disconnections, get it terminated. Your final bill will be £20 times the number of months left, minus the VAT.

I suspect that if yo go into a branch to do it, they will just give you a phone to call customer services.

Often they do it as a credit to the bill, so lets say you are on £25 a month they autocredit £5 as a goodwill gesure monthly.

Your net bill is £20 PCM but it's still £25 PCM for cancellaiton reasons.
