In fairness to DUTR - I read it that OP's DD had posted things on her status about her ife, ex had seen (hence my suggestion to block)

I think the comment about DUTR suggesting rape victims deserved it was very below the belt

Nope, it was making a point - DUTR suggested that it was the victim's fault for the threats she has received. So what if she posts details of her life on facebook? It's what lots of us do, and to suggest she should amend her (normal) behaviour to appease the (abnormal) behaviour of her ex is blatantly making the victim culpable.

Yes, women should take care and stay away from dangerous situations and dangerous people - but violent aggressive psycopaths need little provocation. What about the poor woman who was shot in Harvey Nichol's? She went out with the guy for a week, realised there was something seriously wrong with him psychologically and ended it. He couldn't take no for an answer, after just a week of dates. What was she supposed to do in that situation? He fixated on her and absolutely anything she did fuelled his anger, just her existence fuelled his anger. It's because of that case that there are now much stricter guidelines for police to follow and they take complaints much more seriously.
