Aaaah. Still can't find my engagement ring. I am so in trouble. I've looked everywhere.

Went to get bloods taken by the nurse. 2 attempts later I passed out. Have now come home with a full 'vampire' kit for DH to try on Monday morning.

Can this week get any worse? Actually - no one answer that. I don't want to know.;)

Great flying achieved in the Bedroom as I have gone over it with a fine tooth comb to try and find my ring. Dog walk decluttered, and dog as well (they groomed him in kennels but thankfully didn't turn him into a husky this time)

Well my early week cleaning enthusiasm has been explained. I now have a stinking cold. I always seem to get an energy burst just before as though my body is saying you won't feel up to this later so do it now!

The children do their rooms at the weekend so am going to concentrate on our room today as not much got done yesterday.

I did clean the mirrors last night but that was about it. This morning we have emptied the drawer under the bed and then I can transfer some clothes from the bulging chest of drawers, which can then also be sorted.

We have to mend the drawer first though, and hubby has managed to lose the glue he had from a flat pack unit we put together last month. Of course he put it in his toolbox, but, for some reason it is not there. :o

So I've sent him off to Tesco, which gives me 5 minutes to relax!

    Morning

I did one load of washing this morning and nearly everything is dry, apart from one pair of socks which I've left out there. Looks like it might be clouding up for rain though.

After the builders went yesterday I did a lot of dusting and hoovering through the house and washed the kitchen floor (again). For the first time the mop was just dirty instead of absolutely filthy so I think I may be getting on top of the dust. Just in time for the plasterer to come on Monday....

Not much else going on, hope everyone's OK.
  • Afternoon!

Well, I've made my bed :) and scooped Minion's schoolbooks into a heap on her bed, but that is about it so far. As you can guess, I certainly wasn't the first one up this morning

Must get the vacuum cleaners out (plural because I had images of me tumbling backwards on the stairs with just the one, and the things are just too heavy to cart around).

Mummy of 5 Tell DS1 that the feeling inside is the music trying to get out. Focus on it, take a deep breath through the nose and and he brings his hands up, that gets the music to his fingers. Bit like building a powerup on a computer game. Once he is onstage, it will flow.
Especially when the crowd hear the first couple of bars and know it's Paranoid. They'll go mad, and all due to him, the beating heart of the music.

    I really should do something.

    I know, coffee.

It is my day off, after all :D
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

I've done almost everything on my Friday list but now I've run out of steam - still got more stuff needs doing *sigh*. Do you think I'll feel better after some cheese on toast?

    Afternoon all.

Not caught up with the thread so hugs spoons etc to all who need them :D

I need to get lots done today, so I have put my "perfect housewife" DVD on for noise & inspiration while I get on with jobs. Just having some lunch after a morning of computer based work and pottering.

DD was supposed to be going away tonight straight from school to her dads but their cats have gone all lion apparently and have been overly aggressive the past few days so he's going to come and get her tomorrow morning instead. I don't mind, she's nowhere near ready and it will save me £10 on train fare ;)

    This week:
    Colour my hair
    Dye DD's jeans
Write Toots list - part 1 listed below.
    Ironing until its gone

    Toots list:

    afternoon all
it was bright and breezy but now we have sqaually showers - not so nice
aj glad to hear that yesterday went well and you coped - your extended family sound great and having met them over such a sad time it will make your wedding less nerve racking - hope you both enjoy your weekend
Pixie often the comments and jibes are because they dont understand so would it be worth asking the school if his class could get a talk on diabetes from the school nurse maybe - one of our Mum's had a similar problem with her DD who has Down's syndrome and she went and gave a talk and since then the children have been very supportive of her DD. And dont be tooooooooooo leniet on your DD and BF - if they are old enough to be having a baby its high time they acted responsibly in your house she needs to be doing their washing and ironing because she will have the baby stuff to do as well, that includes bedding and does she help with the cooking and clearing up - I know you said she was at college but half an hour wont make a huge difference. he can learn to hoover and empty bins etc etc etc etc oooooooooooooooooooooh I would so love to be there to help you get them organised:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Pigpen ((((Hugs))) for the Lo's, and I am glad you got something sorted for the weekend trip

Vanilla glad to hear that OH has improved enough to get home - I hope he is much improved
    I'm the worst flylady ever!
for an intelligent woman you can be so silly:rotfl: and what makes you think you can claim that crown anyway - its mine!!!!!!!:rotfl:

cat smith sorry to hear about your problems giving blood - hope your Dh can help out - try to remember when you last had your ring and retrace your footsteps? I often pray to St Anthony (patron saint of lost things) and ask him to help me find it but you have to have looked everywhere first - he hasnt let me down. the other flyers have other methods - something to do with pins and a cushion I think - Valli is it you?

    almost lunchtime

    toots xx
    Peace will be mine
could do better - must try harder
Live each day as if its your last
