Santander ISA One Time Passcode

Can anyone help me with this? I don't know why I do this to myself, getting involved with Santander when I know perfectly well how incompetent they are.

I'm trying to set up the OTP thing which allows you to withdraw money from your ISA (simple thing really, not much to ask is it?) I've tried setting it up several times now, via the setup page where you enter your mobile number, but I never receive the text message. After waiting for half an hour I went to the online banking page to view my account in the usual manner. Just to confirm, I checked my mobile number several times, and I have typed it correctly.

On the normal internet banking page when I click on the 'Payments' and 'set up a new payment' links, I get this error message:

Error code: EBAN_0004

There are no valid accounts (Linked to your card) available for this transaction.

I assume this is something to do with the OTP. I can't find any other way of linking this ISA to my current account in order to withdraw funds. Did anyone else have this problem? Can I withdraw my funds via telephone banking? I have tried ringing the helpline, but the automated messaging is so convoluted, it just steers you towards the 'how to set up OTP' section (which is also automated), which repeats the instructions which are online, there is no troubleshooting section, and no obviously way to speak to a human being!

Sorry, I'm a tad wound up at this at the moment, seriously considering forgetting the ISA this year and using a regular saver or such (I never pay in anywhere near the full amount in a year, so won't miss out on the tax benefits).

Many thanks in advance!

I get the same message when I click on Payments. I called Santander and asked about this and was told that you now can't withdraw money from an ISA online. You have to phone them and they do it for you. This is despite the website stating:

Flexibility to access your ISA money online, at a cash machine, in branch or over the phone

You can access money from your ISA online if you transfer it into another Santander account in your name. If you actually read the T&C's of the ISA it does clearly state you cannot make an external transfer online that has to be done over the phone.

Could you please provide a link or quote from the t&c so I can Google it as that's not what I read in the general t&c's, flexible/direct ISA Fact Sheet or the savings user guide.
