Well - you are pushing it I think but it's up to you - they may well replace it with the wine you ordered. I would if I were Tesco! Something similar happened to me.... I used the £15 off voucher ordering 24 bottles of various cheap wines for a total of £45.27. The order arrived today and I noticed a case of Hardy's Cabernet Merlot which I knew I had not ordered. I told the deliverer I had not ordered them (as I was more concerned someone else would get my crappy Anjou Blanc by mistake) and she said as long as I was happy with it it was fine. I checked Tesco website and the Hardy's is over £5 a bottle... so a bit of a result.
  • I do agree with you it would be pushing it but, which is why I won't be doing it but we have to remember that this is tesco we are talking about hehe!

Well, our 8.00pm-10.00pm delivery arrived at 10.55pm yesterday!

Can't say I was impressed by their timekeeping.

However, both our orders arrived, complete and correct, with £15 voucher discounts taken off, even though their website said that one order had been cancelled and the other had been reduced to one case with no discount...

I was due a wine delivery between 6 and 8 today. When it had not arrived by 8.30 I checked the order on line to find it was cancelled yesterday!!!

Needless to say I can't get through on the 'phone.
  • Never having wine delivererd from tesco before , and as a ex-driver i did deliver it many years ago when they first started to sell wine like this, can anyone tell me is it still the regular home shopping vans that deliver the wine.

Yes it is, but supplemented with agency drivers or drivers drafted in from outside some areas at the moment - hence late deliveries due to drivers getting lost.

Why they don't fit Satnav god only knows!

  • If you have re-ordered wine from Tesco after having an order cancelled it is definitely worth ringing them on receipt of your new order.

I placed an order when the 25% offer was on, only to have it cancelled. When I rang customer services they said to order again and then when I had received it to ring them back and they would adjust the total. I ordered 6 bottles of Chateauneuf de Pape and 6 Chablis coming to a total of £70.XX. I used a £10 code taking it down to £60.XX. When my order came I rang them and the knocked it down to £45.xx and then yesterday I recieved an e-mail saying they were sorry for the inconvenience I had suffered and were crediting a total of £20 back to my account.

Result: 12 bottles of fine wine for £40.xx. Well chuffed!!!

I got an email the other day from Tesco apologising for their c*ck up with my wine order. They said as I had re-rodered, they would credit my bank account for the value of the discount code I used (£15) and another £10.

Yesterday they credited £25 to my account.

When I re-ordered I used a £15 discount code, so my order of 12 bottle of Cordoniu has now cost me £26!!

    Or has it.....

They haven't even charged me for the second order yet.... :D
