can i port my number from vodaphone to icard?

have got my pac number from vodaphone but just wondering if it will work... seeing as icard is on vodaphone's network too.
anyone know?
also anyone got view on whether icard is a good way to go? i currently use about 300 minutes a month but have moved to an area where mobile reception is dodgy
so am thinking i will get back in the habit of using landlines for chatting, but still want a mobile so that people can call me when i'm out and about. still want to text but thought maybe i'd do the free online texting (not sure if that means you / your friends get loads of spam texts though:eek:).
so icard appealed cos it apparantly works on vodaphone phones and doesn't require a minimum monthly spend and calls to vm are free too (unlike gaffgaff). but their website is offputtingly awful!
