Anyone au fait with Jailbreaking iphones?

My iphone IS already jailbroken can I just add...done by a boyfriend last year. Was done through jailbreak me.

Now, phone crashes quite a bit and from what I gather this might be because its not been updated in forever? Well whenever ios4 came out. Its locked to Vodafone, I have an 02 sim in it so obviously it needs to be jailbroken and the baseband unlocked (I have no idea if the last bit is correct)

So, for instance I click on safari, sometimes this takes up to minute to go from a blank internet screen to something I can type on (search bar). Or I might click on a webpage and try to open a new window and it might freeze totally for a couple of minutes and crash out. I being the ignorant person I am have no idea if Cydia is causing problems or Spring/Winterboard does this. I just don't know

I've read somewhere there is no jailbreak for new software updates?

I just want my phone to run smoooothly but I have no idea where to start this time. I'm a proper n00b smile.gif

And no I cannot restore it to unjailbroken status as it was a Vodafone phone and I refuse to pay their prices for texting! 02 gives me free texts, vodafone gives me nada.
Money money money.

you need to look on a specialist site for the info. You Tube dinozambas he always has the right info. Also check sites liek sinfuliphone (google it). I get my info from both of those but the info sounds right. Its the unlock that will be the issue. The latest version of ios firmware is jailbreak compatible just the unlock may be your problem.

I'd also suggest restarting the phone if you haven't already...(apologies if this seems obvious!)
