Evans Halshaw Extended Warranty

Hi I am new to this forum so please go easy on me
I have been reading some real horror stories on here about Evans Halshaw warranties.
I have just purchased a 2006 Saab and took out a 2 year extended warranty with them, Although I have not got the car yet i have signed all the finance paperwork etc.
My question is...do I have to take the car to Evans Halshaws every time it goes wrong or can i take it to an independent garage and get the warranty work done their.
regards

First answer to last question is, you can take to any VAT registered repairer, as long as they use comparable parts. Second answer, is another question; is it an Evans Halshaw branded warranty, or is it, "off the shelf?"
The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark

It's an Evans Halshaw warranty with AA break down cover included.
    Does it make a difference?

    Who provides the warranty?

If it's AutoProtect, cancel during the cooling off period.

Im not sure who provides the warranty I will have to phone Evans Halshaw and ask, as I dont have any of the docs yet
May I ask why you say cancel it?
If I was to cancel would I be refunded the 2 years premium I have paid
approx £400 as Its all been paid on the finance
    Regards

I had an AutoProtect warranty provided by a large motor dealer under their own name. It wasn't worth the paper it was written on when it came to making a claim.

Obviously only cancel if you can get the money back.

cancel it now! Evans Halshaw are absolutely terrible. They messed me around for over two weeks telling me lies when I was trying to buy a car. If that's how they treat you when you are trying to pay them money then I can only imagine they would be even worse when they already have your cash and you are relying on them to fix something. I had initially agreed to an extended warranty through them but after all the problems they created I flat out refused to pay for it. I rely on my car for work and I would not be able to trust them to actually do things on the schedule they say they will.
