Dearest Mich

It is an honour and a privilage to be able to call you my friend, Thank you for helping me through the sad times and being there for me when things were rough. I miss you more as each day passes, Sleep well my eternal friend.

I need to say goodbye although you're with me.
I stand beside your grave, yet you are here.
I miss you terribly and hope you miss me,
But when I turn to you, you're always near.
I talk to you as though you lived within me,
Not changed but simply moved in from outside.
I know each day you must a little leave me,
But here, as always, you must be my guide.
You were and are and will be, just as ever,
In many minds and hearts, not only mine.
No physical event can such love sever;
Death is a dimension, not a line.
And so goodbye does not mean you are gone:

Maria, that says it all. you, i, and mich have walked a long road together this passed year, and i know he will continue to walk beside us always, for what he did, and who he was, he has made us who we are, and that little bit of him will never leave.

I just also want to thank you for being there for me, for spending hours on the phone with me, and being such a very good friend, i love you too you know.

Although I am lucky enough not to have needed the advice Mich gave, I often read his posts just because they were so friendly, humorous and caring. He and his contributions to MSE will be greatly missed.

My thoughts and condolences are with his family and friends.
