Clarks Kids Shoes Policy?

Hi
I think I read somewhere that if you have purchased clarks kids shoes and the kid grows out of them within a few weeks you can return them. Does anybody know the time frame of this?
I had a look on their website but can't find this. I bought my ds trainers a month ago but he has started getting blisters from them now. His feet were measured at the time and he is 4 so his feet dont grow that quick anymore.
Thanks

  • Blisters are not good- return them!
When you get feet measured they always say to come back in six weeks, so I'd expect at least that out of a pair of shoes.

I've not had to do this myself, but have heard from friends that the timescale is 6 weeks.

Cheers, I will go back tomorrow. I too thought that he would be able to wear them for longer than a month it's not like he is a toddler anymore.

I took back DD's boots a couple of months after I had bought them, they hadn't been fitted properly, they offered a refund or a new pair of boots - the sale was on by then, since I had no receipt they could only offer me the current value of the boots, but luckily we found a new pair of boots that fitted her from the sale rack.

    It's definitely worth a try.

Sadly DD's too old for clark's boots now - I might have had a little moan about the price at the time but I've since realised that other boots just don't last the same as Clarks, and if they do they're £120 a pair!

It is usually at their discretion but 6 weeks is usual.. but you are still covered by the sales act. I have taken a pair back after 3 months and got a full refund.

I am just glad they are stopping doing those stupid ones with the lift up inside which collapses and wreck the childs feet and the shoes!..

My 15 y/o is still in Clarks and the only problem we ever had were with his very first pair believe it or not! He was a 3 J and they simply didn't make them wide enough!

And I moan every year about their boots.. they are all like wellies!

Actualy ALL thir boots are like wellies.. they have absolutely no ankle support whatsoever which is really damaging for growing children.. they 'should' have a lot more support as the extra height up the shin makes them walk differently which puts strain on the ankles if not properly supported. The girls physio, podiatrist and OT had a communal rant about them..

DS had ankle boots from Clarks- they were great and he loved them! He now has shoes, and the lady did say it is good not to always have the ankle support as the feet get used to it. DS gets second hand clothes, and the odd pair of trainers (which he might wear a few times) but I like to get properly fitted shoes for his main pair. He is a narrow fitting though, an F bordering on an E!

boys boots are made differently to the girls ones.. the boys ones are shorter and narrower around the ankle so they give better support. the girls boots are basically tall shoes which have only heel support, whereas the boys ones are more of a walking boot style.

they used to do girls lace up ankle boots which were incredibly popular then they stopped making them because they wanted to go all fashionable.. but most parents I know who go to Clarks do so for the fitting and durability and less about what they look like so it was a stupid marketting move.. I have contacted them about this several times.. and those stupid 'Daisy' shoes. They brought some out the other week for DD3 that looked like Mr Man shoes.. I said she was not even to try them on as they were hideous, like old lady shoes!.. Apparently they are very fashionable.. I said I want well fitting, practical and dry not 'fashionable'.. if i wanted 'fashionable' I could get that for £5 from anywhere!

I always go with the philosophy it doesn't matter what goes on their body so long as it covers them up and keeps them warm but they walk on their feet for their entire lives so they must have something that fits well.

I am very much a shoe snob! lol.. For myself as well as the children.
