Blogging on the move

Hi, What do I need to be able to blog on the move? When I come back from holiday it takes me ages to sort out photo's and write up reports, it might be easier if I could do it daily as I travel, and not have to spend another week on the home computer.
I've been thinking of a Netbook, and think I will need a dongle. I will only use it for blogging so don't want to be tied into a contract, would pay as you go be cheapest? Can I still edit my photo's before posting? Where do I get my broadband connection from?
Sorry, I am not very techie minded, I have a computer man come to my house if I have any big problems, he is a whiz and cheap, and couldn't manage without him. Perhaps I ought to go into a shop to ask these questions.
Thanks
Ilona

If in the UK then a PAYG dongle and netbook would do. If bought from the same shop they might make it all work for you as if you are non-technical there can be challenges with mobile broadband dongles.
Alternatively, and possibly better outside the UK, an Android smartphone might be sufficient.
If you wait a bit, a machine with the new Google Chrome OS

might be exactly what you want from a computer on the move.
If you can, I would wait.0 -
Thank you IJC, that Google notebook sounds like just the thing to have. I see it is coming out next year, they look like an amazing piece of kit.
If I had a netbook and dongle I would definately need someone to set it up for me. Yes I am that thick. All my trips are in the UK.

Your choice of netbook and a dongle from 3 might be a good choice.
For £20 you can get a dongle and 1GB of data which lasts a month. You could do a good deal of blogging with photos with 1GB.
As far as netbooks are concerned, light weight might be a priority.
Alternatively, if you have a "traditional" high end phone (as against an iPhone) you might also find that you could connect to the internet on your netbook (via Bluetooth) without a dongle at all.
This is tricky to set up the first time (bring in your tame computer expert) but once set up on the netbook should "just work" after that and it is one less thing to carry.
If you attempt this, the phone needs to have some kind of bundled data (either bought as PAYG or in a contract) or it can be very expensive.0
