Would love a 500 if i could afford one. About 10 years ago I fully restored (with a lot of expert help) a 1972 500. Lovely car.
The new design has done the original proud and very worthy to be called 500. Unlike the trash launched in th 90s called cinquecento.
Get a 500 they will remain sought after just like the mini bmw.0 -
I notice Motorpoint have a number of 59 plate 500s from £6999 - are these the BSM cars coming to the used market?0

This is my fear - how will the ex-BSM cars that will flood the market in the next year or so affect the residuals and the popularity. The cars aren't seen as quirky now there are more of them on the road.:hello:0 -

My local dealer, Glyn Hopkins, isn't far off that with pre reg and new cars. I think they start at £7299 for a new one. But best to check their webpage. If it means avoiding an ex BSM car then a journey to buy is worthwhile.
One interesting thing is that not all BSM cars where ooverty spec some where mid range with nice alloys. I saw a transporter of them being driven round the m25 a few months ago. I Romford there are two 60 plate BSM 500's doing the rounds so some instructirs must still want to use them. Fair enough as they use tgem as personal transport aswell.0 -
AFAIK instructors rent the cars (and the means of getting work) from BSM, so maybe they can specify what spec they get within reason0

Quite like the 500,but the KA which shares the same underpinnings (even the same keyfob) is meant to be a much nicer drive because Ford have played around with the suspension.Might be worth having a look at the Panda 100hp or theres a new Picanto coming out soon which looks quite nice.http://www.kia.co.uk/New-Cars/new-models/Picanto.aspx?gclid=CPDp6dXl1agCFQEY4QodNRdz_AWent shoplifting at the Disneystore today.
Got a huge Buzz out of it.0 -
The 500 is great but if you are unwilling to pay the extra for the excellent TwinAir version, the Panda represents better value for money.
Buy the Panda 1.2 over the 500 1.2 and use the £ saved for a holiday or something else.Generation Rent0 -
How about the Citroen DS2?0
