Thanks for the advice... not sure whose to follow.:o

I've left them to it, gave mummy cat a stroke and put food and water in there for her.
Its raining now, I don't no if too shut hutch up and put the hutches waterproof cover on don't want her too feel restricted.
My neighbour thinks it is a ladies across the road, but no answer at her door.

I will take pictures for you all tomorrow, mums sat with her back towards entrance at the moment so cant get a clear picture.

Bunny is chuffed to bits at being inside for the night.

RSPCA/Animal Wardens - they WILL put kittens to sleep if you call them to collect mum and babies.

As mum let you stroke her, she is abviously not ferral, hopefully you will find the owner...fingers crossed :)

Ahhh well done for caring for this lot! And bless your bunny too!

All the cat shelters are probably over-run with kittens by now but it's early in the season so they may have room. I'm not aware they put kittens to sleep but they WILL (the big charities at least) put the mum to sleep if she tests for any diseases caught from mating (FIV etc....)....and the kittens too.

Even if you do find the owner, what sort of person a) lets their cat get pregnant by any old Tomcat (could be carrying diseases) and b) lets it roam heavily pregnant locked outside the house where of course she has to find somewhere potentially hazardous to give birth. Goodness, she must have thanked her lucky stars when she found bunny's bedroom.

Keep us posted on your investigations so we can try to advise accordingly....! You may even be able to home them from here if no-one comes forward....

From single woman with too many cats...LOL!!! Clearing out spare room in case of emergency new arrivals :rotfl:

Edit - Oh meant to say - best not to move, but can be done if her owner claims her and wants her back and has somewhere suitable to take her and quiet. First 3 weeks are most important. If she is friendly, put the kittens in a carrier and then she will usually just get in with them. Try to handle as little as possible....
Less stuff, more life, love, laughter and cats!
Even if I'm on the shopping threads, it doesn't mean I'm buying! Sometimes it's good to just look and then hit the CLOSE button!

RSPCA, Cats Protection and any random vet they are left at puts the whole lot to sleep here!! Terrible but true.. and I agree it is incredibly irresponsible to alllow the cat to become pregnant in the first placce but to let her roam when she is about to pop

I'll have them all.. but not sure how to hide them from OH.. you could sneak them in our bunny cage?

Do not let the RSPCA anywhere near them.

They will put them all down and then demand a donation for the injections.

Owner found last night. As I suspected it is the ladies across the road, she cried when I told her. Apparently the cat Sapphire she is called escaped as her husband was taking the shopping in. They have been frantically looking for her, they just posted a leaflet through my door. Mummy cat very excited when she saw the owner.

We decided to keep her there for now, have given the cats owner permission to come in my garden to change litter feed etc. Lucky the hutch is under cover so protected from the elements.
Can anyone advise me how to upload pictures? Sapphire is grey, apparently the dad is a grey tabby. The kittens from what I can see one is fully grey, two are tabby greys.

She has offered me one but have 4 children under 4, a 8 month old and 4 your old kitty and a rabbit... temptation is there.

lol... I have 6 cats, 2 rabbits and 8 children living at home... and the baby due October.. Can I have the grey kitten? I adore my catties.. crazy beasts.. Though one of mine is sulking.. She is the only one with a collar as she keeps having her greedy self adopted! and it had worked loose so I fastened it tighter so she sulks!

In fact they are all in bit of a sulk today because some evil person made it rain :(

aww glad you have found the owner.. you are doing right by not moving them yet. I would of had a kitten if we were closer, I have a 4yo, 2yo 12 week old and lost both our kitties to oldage and we miss them. Pigpen our neighbours cat is like that he keeps making homes elsewhere usually in our house then he sulks when I return him home
