Photo Booth

our photobooth was the hit of the night,
everybody loved it and there was often a queue of people waiting to go in who would then stumble out in hysterics, and having now seen the full disc of everyones pictures i know why!
it was £500 for 7pm til finish, unlimited prints which were spat out touch dry and ready to go within 30 seconds, each print had our wedding details on and everyone went home with a stack of them (way more than 290 prints worth that somebody said earlier in this thread would be more than enough)
and we got a disc with each 4 photo print on it and all the pics as individuals aswell and i can honestly say it was worth every penny.
even now 2 weeks later the majority of my friends on facebook still have one of their print outs as the profile picture!
they are keeping fridge magnets busy all over this county!

WE did our our own photo guestbook type photobooth thing. Other half was initally very reluctant but agreed that it was a good idea afterwards, as we had some really fun message and photos left for us that keep us chuckleing!
WE just had a table with loads of props on and a polaroid camera, and it worked really well.
Bought the camera and film off ebay for a grand total of about £50 and we bought a photo guestbook from the states for about £30 which the photos slotted into perferctly. It was done in silk with the colours of our wedding day too (PM me if you want any details). Plenty of room for poeple to leave you a message too.
Props for ideas if you are wanting to go down this cheaper route are a blackboard speech bubble, fake moustaches, silly hats and sunglasses, silly signs. People thought it was great fun!
Glad we didnt fork out for a proper version though, as a lot of people didnt get around to doing it as too drunk/old etc. Planning on recouping my costs too by reselling the camera.

We had this photographer at our wedding who set up his screen thingy and charged guests £5 for prints to take away immediately and all the prints the guests bought he would give to us for free in an album. We did not have to pay him as he was a friend of our photographer but in the wedding mags I have seen them going for £150.0

We went to see a photographer yesterday and one of his options is to set up a studio style area where he can take photographs of guests.
From what I understand, photos aren't printable straight away - but will be added to the photos that we can choose.
He's charging £200 for this service. Does that sound reasonable?0 -

Sounds like a nice idea, you'll have lots of photos then. Though you have to decide whether you'd actually buy those photos?
With regards to the photo booths, I guess they work better when it's quite a big crowd otherwise it'd be underused. How many guests did people that have had/are going to have photobooths have?0 -
