PLEASE HELP ebookers made mistake and charging me £150 to correct

Hi all,
I'm having a big problem with ebookers. I tried to book a flight last night using the skyscanner app on my iphone. 4 times I tired and when I pressed "agree and confirm booking" a message came up saying "transaction error lost connection", even though my internet connection was fine. I checked my email each time and no confirmation/ thank you we are processing your claim.
This morning I had 2 bookings for the same flight!!! How can this happen! So I called immediately (at 6am) and they replied that I had to pay the £150 charge to cancel one of the flights!
Almost 5 hours, 3 calls and 1 hour of holding later and they are still saying I have to pay £150.
Can anyone suggest anything to help?

As you submitted a second booking request well within this period then 2 reservations were ultimately processed.
Anytime you submit a booking request along with your card details it always worth contacting whoever you have booked with to ensure that the booking has completed in order to avoid a duplicate reservation being made.
If you contact our service team they will do all they can to assist but ultimately whilst ebookers will waive any associated charges for you the decision regarding any cancellation fees will be the airlines.
Reservation confirmations take up to 30 mins to arrive as is set out on the site in the booking path. if in the mean time you again submit one then it mey take as second booking!Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature.
