Here we go again - doesn't time go quickly?

My meal plan this week is mostly from the freezer / cupboards as, once again, I've been so efficient at stocking up on bargains that I'm running out of room! :o

Friday - grilled field mushroom with red pesto and grated spring onion cheese (bought from a farmers' market and very  indeed), with polenta wedges and salad
Saturday - garlic mushroom and creme fraiche pizza
    Sunday to Thursday:
    spicy prawn and chard noodles
pasta with chicken, chard and red pesto
chilli con carne with HM bread
southern fried chicken salad (or SFC with beans and a jacket potato if the weather takes a turn for the chilly ;))
    roast veg lasagne

I made a batch of olive rolls last weekend and they were so good I'll be making some more tomorrow. :D
Back after a very long break!

    hmmm....

    have to think about this:

Sat prob no lunch but early dinner
dinner free chicken leg from next door with pots and carrots

Sun maybe make a veg soup ready for in work and have some now.
dinner I think free shredded chicken omlette with spinach and a bit of pot or wedges

    Mon veg soup and scones
dinner last piece of free chicken and jacket pots, maybe homemade CS

    Tue veg soup and scones
dinner Pasta bake - tuna and sweetcorn?

    Wed veg soup and scones
    dinner toad in the hole

    Thurs sausage and noodle soup
    dinner sausage pasta bake

    Fri sausage and noodle soup
dinner mixed bean pot I think. that is to say all the scraps from the fridge (meat, veg, cheese ends) cooked and chopped up and mixed with a tin of beans or toms over pasta.

defrost a piece of gammon for next week.
One of the hardest of all life lessons is this:

Just because I feel bad doesn’t necessarily mean someone else is doing something wrong.

Just because I feel good doesn’t necessarily mean what I am doing is right.

Hello all! I've been gone the last few weeks as my life has changed in just about every way. I've moved from London to Uganda, am living in a shared house instead of as a couple and have started a new job. Bit of a whirlwind!

I'm still coming to grips with the new food selection, so this week is a bit tame:

tonight - Guacamole and sangria night in with my roomate
Tomorrow - friend coming over for lunch - going to make a big Israeli lunch with greek salad, shakshuka, bread and watermelon / cheese salad. No dinner as going out to 80s party
    Sunday - pasta pesto
Monday - moroccan spiced aubergine with rice and yoghurt
    Tuesday - leftovers
Wednesday - out for roomate's birthday
Thursday - veggie curry night in

    have a good weekend, everyone!
