So if I paid the "gold" membership at £20.80/mth for 12 months, I'd get £400 if I had a baby?! Am I missing something..?! That sounds too good to be true!!
Thank you bigzippy! It doesn't seem to be it's major selling/advertising point (and I'm guessing the 12month rule is so you can't do it when you're already preg and claim), and obviously it's hard to pinpoint when you'll have a baby, but my parents swear by this plan for dental and optical alone, saying they get back far more than they put in (but I think they also go to the dentist and opticians more than me
and claim for specialist visits and whatnot)... I found it interesting that you got a pay out if you adopted too, not just biologically gave birth
They've been on this plan for yeeeears and afaik don't have any trouble with claims, btw

I've got one of the fancy phones, but can't see any of the pictures because the sun is shining on the screen! I can just about see what I'm typing.
I'm walking home for my lunch and the weather is fine
Congrats COMP on your wedding.
Will have to look up that scheme when I get to a computer.
I'm not planning to start ttcing until 2012, but can't get it all out of my head! I'm getting mummy and bump tablets from Sainsburys as they are 2 for 3 at the mo and will start taking them in September.
Any other hints and tips for preparation?

Hi Cooch,
One of the other posters had mentioned about a free book from Tommys. This is the link http://www.tommys.org/Page.aspx?pid=602&nccsm=21&__nccspID=877
You can order on the website and it is sent out in a sealed envelope - it gives tips and advice on foods etc giving up bad things and other useful info (I found out my everyday multi-vits had Vit A and I shouldn't be taking them)
Have you checked that you had your rubella and if so are you still immune?
I am sure other people will be along with other hints and tips

I am very moneysaving! My portable communication device is from 1823 and it refuses to break so I can buy a new modern one!
So no I haven't :-( I could print it but I don't know where my cover line would should go. Does it go across the top of the pre ovulation temps and when it rises above that for 3 days treat as ov already occured?0 -
Thanks for the advice glimmerofhope. I've ordered the book and passed it on to a friend I know who will be ttcing soon.
Now I'm indoors I can see you lovely wedding pictures COMP. Makes me jealous! Still waiting for the promised ring, but OH is terrible with money - no matter what I try to do to help - so I've learned lots of patience. Sometimes I'm tempted to buy it for him and set up a plan for him to pay me back!

Hi Ladies,
Apologies for being a crap AWOL forum member the last few weeks!!
My "baby" head has been up my proverbial for the last few weeks, my BF gave birth to a baby born sleeping which has really knocked me for six. We were all so looking forward to the new chapter in her life- baby was her first. I won't give too many details for privacy's sake and because this isn't the place to pour out my heart but I was absolutely honoured to have met baby, to have held her and to have a chance to say goodbye.
Anyway, back to business. I'm going to go back and catch up properly on the thread which seems to have moved on fantastically- 26 pages! Fab!
COMP- your photos are gorgeous- had to do a double take at the one of a brunette girl drinking a bottle of rose in what I suspect is Monsoon's "Lorton" dress? Or a very close likeness! This could have been me at my wedding in Feb in my "Lorton" and I was on the pink stuff too! Your day dress was absolutely stunning!!!!! Hope you're settling in well to married life- I just thought it was wierd for the first few weeks not having a "project" anymore!! Which turned me to thinking about TTC, lol.
Anyway, off to catch up properly!

Maybe I've forgotten, but what's the issue with condoms for that "unsure" period of time?mintedby30? wrote: »My "baby" head has been up my proverbial for the last few weeks, my BF gave birth to a baby born sleeping which has really knocked me for six. Happy Sunday everyone. Anyone fancy flying out to write my essay for me?!
Minted - so very sorry to hear about your friend.
bigzippy -about the possibility that you may have to delay ttc. in the nicest possible way I really hope that you don't have to come and join us! please keep dropping in with your fabby dab advice and info though!
I am about to go and kick my butt into gear and jump on the cross trainer. I'm hoping it will make me feel more energised after a knackering week away for work. I'm going to spend the day finishing off my essay then I'm going to try my hand at making sweet potatoe, fennel and chilli ravioli for dinner. nom nom....."No society can surely be flourishing and happy of which by far the greater part of the numbers are poor and miserable"Adam Smith6/300
