I bought 250g Tesco butter the other day, it was £1 and I'm sure it wasn't on offer. Wasn't even the value one (really cheap butter tastes "farmy" to me...)0

i cant wait to try it making at home too!
my Mum used to make it, when she lived in a village, but she used fresh, natural milk ( for cottage cheese too )
EDITED: i made some butter for the first time by myself! the taste is lovely!
i had two double creams x 300g, and ive got around 300g of butter. its still soft though, wonder if it gets harder0 -
I make butter when I see double cream reduced. I've heard it's actually better to make the butter when the cream is a day or two out of date.0
