https://www.interparcel.com would charge £12.99 + VAT for delivery to NI
  • If you had to use PO I would use Parcel Force 48 which is £13.19

I know this is an old thread but ParcelForce seem to exclude laptops:
"Glassware** - items wholly or partially made of glass or containing glass, e.g picture frames, TV's and laptops that contain glass"

I've got to send a laptop for repair and I can't find anyone who unequivocally will cover it.

    Hi mate

Have a look at gwhizz couriers (https://www.gwizzcouriers.co.uk) but I believe they are one of the only companies who will insure a laptop. I used them about 6 weeks ago for an old laptop I sold on ebay - check they havent changed T&C before booking though.

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but it looks to me that if sending a laptop/PC, Gwhizz couriers are both very reasonably priced (insurance very cheap at £3.99 up to the value of £1500). I'll be couriering a couple of laptops in the coming weeks so I hope I'm reading it right in that they will insure laptops.
  • GWizz is a good bet, but some people say they're sometimes unreliable. Hammyman, the laptop guy around here uses Parcelmonkey, who at the moment have a 48 hour service for £5.89 + VAT, where the driver will even bring an A3 size mail bag with him.

I just checked and Parcelmonkey specifically exclude laptops form any form of compensation across all the services they offer.

MyParcelDelivery.com permit laptops across all the same couriers up to a maximum of £200, Rather bizarre that some cover them and others do not even though the delivery company is the same!
