But you won a 3 month membership so he shouldn't be trying to sell you anything for at least another 2 months  If it is as fabulous as he makes it sound you'll have worked that out by yourself in 3 months and you'll be wanting to join of your own free will so he shouldn't have to sell it to you at all.Total debt 11/1/2011 €5350.65Total debt 12/12/12 €3222.31CrazyClothesChallenge 2013 #006 €34.08/€5000

I hope you can find her something lovely for the interview that she feels really confident in
well done on the gym too and very well done for not being taken in by the sales pitch :T
I have a Virgin card too, knew the day would come when they increased the payments but am glad I will be able to cover them just! I have a 6.9% life of balance transfer on there which I will be tackling once i have paid off my overdraft. The interest this month is mega becuase I mistimed another 0% transfer (didn't realise it had finished a month before I thought it was going to) but at least there was plenty of advance warning.
Cannot WAIT for the day when all this juggling cards business is over and done with!
Hi LHG,
I got her a suit from next, some smart shoes and a new top - she looked lovely (brought a tear to my eye) - so grown up..... fingers.
Credit cards - the work of the devil - like you once they are gone I wont ever be using them again!
crossed for her. :beer:Well Behaved women seldom make history

Hi Mags, I know you are so right - to be honest (I know i come across all jokey and stuff, but the hard sell has put me off using my prize).... the gym is beautiful and luxurious I cant deny that but it is very expensive and I cant afford it (at least not until debts have gone gone gone)! I did expect the hard sell at some point, but like you I thought it would be towards the end on the three months. A friend told me they are poorly paid and work on commission though, so i suppose I looked a soft touch and he was after a nice fat commission.Well Behaved women seldom make history

What a horrible weekend.... one of those weekends where nothing seemed to go right.
it all started on Friday night - i got in from work all cheerful (you know that friday feeling) to find indulgent pooring over 2 large unexpected bills, totalling £700 . 1 was for strutural engineer (changes to plans) which we thought had already been allowed for and another £377 for the Local Authority which is a fee for coming out to check building is built in accordance to building regs. (again as we had paid them around £800 already) we thought this was covered.... Anyway indulgent got his best :money:head on a declared a further 'tightening up of belts' .....
on to Saturday, well i was cleaning the chooks out when I spied it.... OMG a RAT, well i have been keeping chickens for over five years and we are VERY careful (feed is stored in steel bins, area clean and tidy etc). Well I sprinted up the garden (breaking 100metres world record) shouting for indulgent, you see i have an absolute phobia about rats (spiders / frogs hey i can cope with those ) but RATS ...... so off we went to get a rat trap and indulgent went into great white hunter mode and set up a rifle and a watch spot, which happend to be on the decking at the other end of the garden..... I stayed indoors and buttoned down the hatches and even had a tot of uncle alberts whiskey (this time it was medicinal
).... and between shakes and shudders told uncle albert about the visiting rat.... so he becomes all protective and goes to help indulgent hunt it out.... anyway he got not 1 but 5 all babies apparantly - now I'm thinking where there is babies there must be a mummy and daddy
.... anyway whilst discussing warfare tactics on the decking uncle alberts wedding ring slipped off and went between the boards of the decking! so he got all upset and we had to take up the decking to get the ring back (so another half a day gone)........
Also builders turned up for a site meeting - i will be without a kitchen for 6 weeks!!!!! they are going to rig up a temporary cooker, and I am going to wash up in the bath
Anyway, probably due to the stress of the day indulgent and I had a row and I stomped off to bed early (leaving the arguement gulf down the centre of the bed, as you do) and we are still not speaking properly.:(
To top it all Eco had an interview Tuesday morning and a Geog exam in the afternoon and they have moved the a level exam to 11.15 am (it should have been 1.45 pm) and she is upset she will miss the interview.... right now she is phoning to explain and hoping (please all send good hope vibes to her) that they can re-arrange at short notice. I didnt think schools could mess around with exam times??? surely this must be against some exam type rules.
i should have a good money saving week though - cos i think i might retire to bed and stay there for the rest of the week!Well Behaved women seldom make history
