Morning All,
At home today, the kids' school is being used for the elections. PLEASE DON'T FORGET TO PLACE YOUR VOTE many people fought long and hard and too many died for us all to have the right to have a say in how our country is run. *climbs back off soapbox*
Uolypool I hope everything goes well today, I will be thinking about you and your daughter. x
Lou I hope you are feeling a bit brighter today. x
NicLou I am pleased to see you posting
Hillstep, I know all about Bridezillas, my sister is getting wed next year  Is there nothing you can do about the venue doing that, that's terrible.
I also keep meaning to say something to Camelot about the situation you find yourself in with DS and DSF. I hope you get things resolved. We were not really speaking to my OH's mother before DS1 was born, but his birth brought about a lot of healing and reconciliation in our family. xxx
Well I am hopeful of getting DS1's bedroom painted and wallpapered today, I haven't slept very well so am about to eat and see if I get some energy to get going. Be back later, no doubt.
Take care everyone.

Morning All,
Overcast here but looks like it may brighten up later.
Had 2 long phone calls from Oz yesterday. Mum and dad will be home next wk. Can't believe they have been gone nearly six wks. It will be lovely to have them back. Then eldest son comes home for a long visit at the end of May, can't wait:j:j:j
Money is extremely tight and can't afford to go to the shops so I am having to be very inventive. Just found 3 chicken breasts lurking at the back of the freezer so tea will be chicken and potato pie as this will make them go that bit further. I also need to bake and fill the biscuit tin. Have 4 oranges that need using up and some almonds, am thinking maybe almond and orange biscuits if I can find a recipe.
Hope all those with problems with schools, and bullying get sorted. Its such a worry when your children are unhappy (((hugs)))
Applied for quite a few jobs yesterday, even though I have the interview lined up I am not going to rely on it just in case. Its really dire money wise and its making me feel miserable but I know things can only get better:(
Niclou nice to see you posting, keep thinking positive and enjoy your wander around the shops
Have a good day all, off to catch up with Kerry Katona which I recorded. I know I know its my shameful secret:o:o SHHH don't tell anyone;)Started Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Morning my lovelies

It's warm-ish here probably because it's cloudy. Still no rain, water butt is empty and garden desperately needs some of the wet stuff.
Taking kids to soft play this morning and also to vote, might as well see democracy in action. Suspect most of it will go over their heads LOL
Not sure about tea tonight, was going to do a veggie chilli for H but realised I need to soak the lentils which I didn't do last night so that will become tea for tomorrow.
Not much else to report here at Chez Bitsy, just the usual pottering
Nic1 - Hugs to you, hope your Ex-OH pulls his finger out of his @rse soon and does his post re-direction.......would a bit of accidental reading of his mail spurr him on <insert evil icon>
Hugs and spoons all round. Have a great day OS or not.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife

Morning guys!
Please, please please, tell the supermarkets to stop selling their easter eggs so cheap!!!! I just cannot resist! Yesterday in Asda, the Cadbury's caramel bunnies ( twin packs) were 25p each, triple packs of caramel eggs (cadbury's and galaxy) and cream eggs were 67p, so had to buy some of those too. And the bags of mini eggs were down to 25p!!!!!
Then, in the evening, had half an hour to kill, so wandered round Sains to get some bogof bargains, and discovered their caramel eggs were 15p! More in the basket. Aero lambs were 15p too, so got a couple for the kids. But the best was a big Green and Black's organic 70% cocoa dark choc thick shelled egg, down from a fiver to 50p!!!! Managed to just buy 2 of those, one for me and one as a treat for dd1. I have hidden everything so the kids don't find them, then they can have them as an occasional treat. The only problem is that I know where they are!
Mind you, a good bargain that I did get, were some planet lunch fruity oat bars. Normally 1.99 for a 6 pack, but they had them 3 for price of 2. I found some reduced to 99p and they still honoured the 3 for 2. So I got 3 boxes for 1.98! Kids liked them too, which was good. I frequently buy more 'healthy' snacks, only for the kids to turn their noses up. Too much bloomin choice these days.
Dh off today, so will be up on the lottie today digging and weeding. Little one off nursery, due to elections, so she will have to be up there with us. Need some rain soon as the ground is like a brick. I remember this time last year that we would get our wellies caked in mud!
On a really positive note, I took advice from JackieG and advertised my courgette plants on Gumtree. Have a lady coming on Friday to buy 4 of them. So that is 4 pounds for my allotment fund :-)Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These
(he points to some plastic cows on the table) are very small; those (pointing at some cows out of the window) are far away...

Again ,thank you for all your thoughts during this frustrating time regarding school.
Good morning all, sun is up, not a cloud in the sky, am actually sitting in the garden having a cuppa with my daughter and reading this mornings thread.School ha ha where do I start , I phoned them and got put through to her head of year who went into major defensive mode when I said that I was pulling her from the school due to the lack of co-operation regarding the situation and to protect my daughters well being and health. He kept going on and on and on about how it will be detrimental to her to have to start a new school and make new friends at her age, I kindly reminded him that people change schools where they move areas etc all the time and they survived, stupid man.He almost pleeded me to bring her into school as otherwise he would have no choice but to put it down as an unaurthorised absence.Like I care, so finished the convo with I will be speaking to the LEA and getting her enrolled at the other place as they have already "reserved"a place for her, and I would be up to collect her personal property such as her hockey stick that she keeps locked in the PE staff room .Then got straight on the phone to the LEA and explained to them what I've done and they were fine but said I had to get her back into school as soon as poss unless I was going to home school, as much as I would love to keep her at home with me I know that WOULD be detrimentel to her. They did say that as long as the other school said it was fine (they already have ) then starting on Monday would be fine.:j:j.
Phew thought they might have put up a bit more of a fight .Now for the rest of the day making some muffins and scones , have to hoover upstairs and strip ds3 and 4 beds Ds1 and 2 bedding in the machine as I type.
Dinner is toad in the hole with veggies made by dd
Hope everyone has a lovely day hugs to all.Paul Walker , in my dreams;)0 -

Morning all!
Uolypool - so pleased that you have your dd's schooling sorted out! For various reasons I pulled dd3 out of her school in year 2 and she thrived in the new one, but tbh it never occured to me to go via the LEA, oops! I just spoke to the new school and told the other that she wouldn't be back, possibly a bit different as she was much younger and we are in the catchment for both schools. Anyway, my elder two have moved schools due to house moves and neither seem to have suffered educationally or socially, so pfft to yr dd's ex year head!
Julie - good luck with the job situation, it's a worry when money runs out and supplies dwindle fast, will keep my fingers crossed for you.
Jackie - I fully agree, everyone should vote, and I think that anyone who simply can't be bothered should be fined - people died for the right! *passes soapbox back*
Hilstep - well done finding another venue, hope dd calms down soon! And your garden sounds very manageable now, may it give you many years of enjoyment
RR - well done to dd on her performance, and good luck for the exam piece.
Niclou - best time to post is when you're feeling rubbish sometimes, always someone here to lend a sympathetic ear I find. As for redirection, you can do it online, so you could always do it for him - whilst it would mean you paying, it would give him one less excuse to be a pain! Well done getting the key back, must've been horrible feeling he could arrive and let himself in at any time. Someone once told me that the best revenge is to be happy, so I shall pass it on to you and advise you to act, act and act if needs be, it'll get right up his nose!
Jet - bless your dd! Made me smile
Rosie - well done on the sales, and sounds like the lottie fund is off to a good start!
Jools - what a lovely kind offer lol! My ds has actually gone into college today, and hopefully will sort out what he plans to do next year, I'm now not arguing with him, I've just calmly stated it's college and his dad and I will support him, work and he can pay rent and his own expenses, or move out - I've never been known for my great patience, but mooching teenagers are far too much for even the sanest woman! Hope that your ds bucks up and gets on with things, I think girls and boys are quite different in their attitudes and maturity at 16, my dd1 is great at revising and doing her work, though thinking about it dd2 is more like ds sigh!
Right, yesterday I think I did most of what I planned, including getting into town for dd3's stuff! Parked at work and nipped in when I'd finished, amazingly it was just at the right time, as I picked up lots of reduced fruit, which was much needed! Also managed a nap in the morning, decided that if I'm worn out then I'm no use to anyone and I'm grouchy to boot, so might as well rest if I have the time!
Can't remember what dinner was meant to be yday, but I know pasta was on the meal plan, so we had tagliatelle in a garlic and cream cheese sauce (soft cheese hm from our yoghurt!), with ys ciabatta and lots of salad, followed by meringues, cream and strawbs which were ys and bogof! Was lovely, simple and tasty!
I'm working till 7 this eve, so dinner for the kids will be steak pie or veg burgers with potatoes and green beans (ys lol!), pud will be more strawbs, cream and meringues or jam tart.
I'm meant to be off to watch Thor with my best friend after work, but he has been offered a day's work so not sure if he'll be done in time - glad he has the work though. The silly twit lost his job, he was entirely to blame and is feeling a little foolish right now! Thankfully, whilst he is hopeless with money, his worry is mitigated by knowing that he can stay with his gf or here if necessary, so he will neither starve nor be homeless!
Right OS stuff for today: usual hw rounds, hoover, S&S kitchen, dw, wm, water plants, walk dog, bm and yoghurt, and prep dinner! Some already done, some still to do! Was interruped by needing to pop dd2's cookery ingredients over to school as she forgot them - they are making oaty biscuits, she has ignored the ingredient list and opted to make twink's hobnobs as she says they are far better lol!
Have a good day all xxGC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000
