My only comment about the new Yaris was I didn't like the instruments being in the centre of the dash. While I had it on hire over a weekend, the oil waring light came on and if it wasn't for my son pointing it out (he was in the passenger seat), I would possibly not have noticed it as it is on the left side of the instruments.

+ soggy suspension and concave wing mirrors the size of dustbin lids. Which make you feel like your driving/parking a giant blancmange and give the impression that every driver on the road has road rage and wants to eat your car (with you in it).... Which makes you drive excessively slowly and it then almost becomes a self fulfilling prophecy :rotfl:

If you just wan't no-fuss small car motoring you can't go far wrong with a Kia Picanto brand new @ £5995. £500 deposit contribution if you take Kia Access finance too.

    Works for me.

Small cars demand a premium on the used market so buying new with discount can make sense due to warranty etc.

The new Picanto is only weeks away and it is in a different leqgue to the old one, this will affect the old models residuals.

A good idea would be to.research all the new cars coming out with less than 100g/km of co2 as they have free roadtax, free congestion charge in London and they are among the most economical.

New Kia Rio coming out soon will have co2 of less than 90 and is reputed to do nigh on 80mpg. With Kias 7 yr warranty they deserve a good look, though the new Rio is coming out several months after the new Picanto.

Fiat 500 Twin Air is also in that catagory and is already available BUT I doubt it is within the OPs budget.

I doubt it'll be discounted as heavily for quite some time though - the OP did say they have quite a tight budget.
