    Have agreed to exchange on an empty house this week, should move in next Tue/Wed.

    Things to do?

    Clean, clean and clean.... you should see the inside of the oven and the grass growing in the rear guttering!!!

    Organise builders to repair and replace some missing rainwater pipes at front of house and lower block paving which meets front wall of house. All of this is causing loads of damp.

    {Can someone tell me if this can be done before I tackle the damp proof course or should it all be done in one hit? My thinking is if I sort out the water entering from outside it will begin to dry out the walls and I can continue work in the new year..... any thoughts and advice very welcome.}

    After cleaning, I have to move out of daughter's spare room where I've been for 3 months and get my belongings out of storage.Not too much furniture in storage thank goodness as the house will be in a real mess next year.

    Oh yes, must finish writing Chrismas cards and get them posted.

    Wow you have done a lot already, good luck with getting it all done before Christmas, we did a big decorating job a few weeks ago so I know what you are up against.

    I just need to write my cards and post them!

    I've got to glue a few kitchen tiles back on to the wall before Christmas. They were the last job to do before I moved in and I've lost interest since then!
    It's true; if you want something doing then ask a busy person. The last job gets exponentially more difficult to motivate yourself on.
