Vanquis & Cap 1 - which card next?

I've held my Vanquis and Cap 1 cards since March 2010. All greens and limit raises on both of them over the last 14 months.

This along with Very, Littlewoods, Additions and Next (all greens and limit increases across all accounts) Hopefully gone a long way to becoming more attractive to a mainstream lender.

So, the $64m question, which one should I try for next?

Don't want to go too mainstream just yet...plan on trying one of them out for size in 2012. But, in the meantime, from the bastion of knowledge that is this forum, which one next? :D

    cap1 progress ?

the issue is how bad your credit record was before you applied for the cap1 and vanquis

12-14 months of green won't do much sadly with the prime lenders if you have defaults/ccjs etc
    It's a health benefit ...

No CCJs, two satisfied defaults due to drop off the file early 2012 (hence not going mainstream until then).

Would Aqua or Sygma consider me do you think?

I get nasty responses from both of them with a single default. However, I don't have good history with cap1 / vanquis yet so I have no idea.

Please do update this thread if you decide to apply with details of your results, I will be monitoring it most closely because in a little while I shall be looking to do something similiar!

    Capital One Progress Mastercard ?
    Barclaycard Initial visa ?
Barclaycard Gold Visa ? (Sounds daft, but my friend got one with a similar situation to yours)
Perhaps consider your bank ? (12-24 months of good conduct with them might make them consider you for a credit card)

Haven't you just applied for, and been accepted on, an Aquis Card? Part of the Vanquis/Provident group? Confused as to how you get nasty responses from them both?
